They sent out somebody to assess the roof of my house. I wasn't trying to file a claim, this just came out of the blue. I had a policy with them for 20+ years, and this had never happened before. About a month later, I got a notice that I would have to pay OUT OF POCKET for roof "damage" or they would drop me. I dropped them for another insurance provider. A few weeks after that, a contractor was making rounds in the neighborhood and the contractor was helping people file claims for a storm that came through in January. My guess is State Farm was getting claims filed from this storm and decided to send someone out to assess the homes of people who had not filed claims and then giving the same notice as me -- pay out of pocket or we will drop you -- so State Farm didn't have to cover anything. Nip it in the bud, as Barney Fife would say. Again, I never tried to file a claim or consulted their office on anything. This all happened a few months ago, but what triggered this response is that they sent me a Thanksgiving card in the mail thanking me for being a customer! Months after I had dropped them because of this! Keep paying Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Jake for your marketing campaign. Money well spent to attract customers but not actually support them.

I had a State Farm homeowner's insurance claim which had to be signed by my mortgage company. Unfortunately, the company had sold the mortgage and the new company would be unable to process the payment for the claim for nearly two months! The repair had already been completed (it was an emergency and had to be done) so I couldn't wait that long for payment, and was concerned about having to make upcoming mortgage payments on top of paying for the sizeble repair costs. My claims adjuster had already closed the case and was not available for me to contact - she was either out of office or was refusing to answer. Mary has over 30 years in the business, and despite this being well beyond her job role at State Farm, she wouldn't take no for an answer. She spent weeks making phone calls, kept escalating the issue, and got a hold of a claims team leader who was able to solve the issue. On top of that, that I was able to have certain coverages for the repair at all was because she made sure to put that in my policy - this is stuff no inexperienced homeowner would think of happening in a thousand years, yet it happened to me. Mary and her office rep Jaccie had me covered. I cannot overstate how lucky I was to have Mary and her team helping me as my agent. She is a hero in my book.

Mary Crow gives exceptional service. She cares about her customers and goes above and beyond the call of duty to help. I loved my sports car and unfortunately my mechanic totalled my car while he was test driving it after the repair.
